Sitting in the walled garden within the grounds of Floors Castle, it encapsulates the very best of country living. Guests have private use of the four acre Walled Garden outside formal opening hours. With the magnificent Floors Castle setting and access to fabulous walking within the park grounds and on the banks of the River Tweed, it may prove hugely difficult to venture anywhere else!

Located eight miles from the ancient market town of Hexham, East Cottage, Middle Cottage and West Cottage are cosy boltholes with oodles of country charm, beautiful nature reserves and stunning landscapes on the doorstep. Pop your wellies on and head outdoors to pick fresh herbs and veg from the garden for supper, or perhaps say hello to farm animals Tulip, Betsy and Barty. Make use of a lovely vegetable garden and greenhouse where guests are welcome to pick fruit and veg when in season. Special celebrations, events and corporate groups can also be catered for here, from informal suppers to hog roasts during the summer months as well as workshops in everything from art, cookery, furniture painting, flower arranging and even classic car restoration!

Monteviot Stables West

Sitting within the stunning grounds of the Marquis of Lothian, Monteviot Stables West which sleeps eight has a beautiful position between the rich woodland trails and inspirational gardens of Monteviot House, fringed by the graceful curve of the River Teviot. Families will love to explore the woodland trails and outdoor adventure playground at nearby Harestanes Visitor Centre and passionate gardeners can find their own little patch of heaven wandering the stunning gardens which bound Monteviot Stables West, while walkers can join the path of St. Cuthbert’s Way at this point.

A truly special garden which is around three acres in size and surrounded by mature trees and shrubs with plenty of secret nooks and crannies for children to explore. A trampoline and swing are provided, there is a tree house to climb and conquer, and a small burn running through the garden provides the perfect bridge for a game of Pooh sticks! The house sleeps 12 and has a wooded ‘secret garden' area beyond the lawn including a fully-enclosed walled-garden to the rear which includes a former kitchen garden with fruit trees. A gate leads from the garden to Kirkton Church and there are fabulous walks direct from the house in the surrounding hills.

A superb Grade II listed Georgian house offering immaculately presented accommodation with ample space for families and large groups. Outside the impressive acre of gardens are fully-enclosed for the safety of dogs and children. There’s an outside dining area with barbecue, a south facing garden to the front and a west facing walled garden. Guests are welcome to help themselves to the produce in the owner’s impressive vegetable garden. Extensive outbuildings include kennels and four stables (horses are welcome for an additional fee) and plenty of space for the storage of outdoor kit.
